Brian: I'm really sorry that you have decided to pack it in, but of course there does come a point where one must confront stark realities. You accomplished something quite remarkable - you became The Best. There really can be no doubt about that. To have become The Best at something - anything - is achieved by very, very few people. Further, you achieved this while still young and the certain knowledge of your capability can not fail to carry you forward in all of your undertakings in times to come. Even more rewarding will doubtless be the bonds you have formed with those who took the journey with you through difficult terrain. Friendships tested in that way tend to last a lifetime. This is quite a lot of profit to take away from the venture and though it is not coin that can be spent in the grocery store, it will pay dividends for life. Money in the bank is, after all, only a secondary measure of success. It is important of course but it is transitory. The only things we ge t to take with us when we leave this Earth are the respect and affection others have given us and I think you have achieved that sort of fortune. So, my message to you is, my deepest and most sincere congratulations on the brilliant success of Jameswinston Co.
I know you will stay in touch and I'm looking forward to your next adventure...

Sorry to hear of your decision - I have been buying Hom pants since I was 17 years old (over 30 years ago!), & have been disappointed to see the market over- run with cheap boxer shorts and Calvin Kleins in recent years. They lack imagination in design, but obviously have massive clout when it comes to marketing. Innovative designs and colours are difficult to come by, plus also the whole area of marketing - how do you get large numbers of blokes to wear sensual briefs? You at Jameswinston have to entered the market and addressed this issue and it's a shame just your co. size alone has led to this.

I am very sorry to receive this letter to hear that the business is no more. It seem somewhat unfair that the passion and dedication that you have put it has not been rewarded accordingly, as I must compliment you on a superb product...great quality and style. Unfortunately I was unable to collect a comprehensive range of your products before availability became a problem but must say I am very sorry not to have done so, and managed to get a few other items from your range in appropriate sizes from DGU.
Anyway, I am the firm opinion that hard effort will not go unrewarded, and although this venture did not turn out as expected, you will be rewarded in future ventures....keep the belief.

I think if something's worth talking about, then communicate....to be honest I didn't expect a response, you know how these "info@" email addresses are, but you proved me wrong, you sooooo deserve to be successful!
Had Dragon's Den been enlightened enough to see your potential then that £2m turnover would have been within your grasp, they were blinkered.....twits! (putting it politely!)
You should always think of your achievement in a positive light... you did something very special and succeeded. Whether its ongoing or not, you did it! :-) Not many people can say that these days.
Those Petit-Briefs ARE fantastic.....in fact, I shall order more before I can't anymore :-(

That's a damn shame (really that sucks). As much as I'd say how bummed out about it. The fact that you provided such a great product but only fell short because of your company size is a bit shit - but it's not nearly the same as failing. It reminds me of the line out of that cheesy poem "If" by Rudyard Kipling: "If you can meet with triumph and disaster, and treat those two imposters just the same..."

You know, if I'd had more money, I would have ordered more often. When I first heard of your company I ordered a few things from you and a few things from other companies. The other garments pretty much stay in the bottom of the drawer (unless I'm doing laundry and washing the good stuff.) I'm not as much concerned with looks, although your garments flatter my body incredibly so. It's really the fact that the underwear you make is extremely comfortable and well-made. Rare in this day and age.

I received my new S-Briefs at 0700hrs this morning (17th April 2008) and I am extremely impressed by the fit, quality, colours, construction design, workmanship, packaging and attention to detail of these wonderful briefs!
